Arriving & getting aroundPlan the whole journey.

Airport trains stop at Genève-Cornavin. If hiring a car, check whether your booking is in the Swiss or France sector; these are not interchangeable pickup points. The airport restricts internal passage between sectors to eligible air passengers. Confirm the current conditions before booking, and tell a collecting driver which side you will exit.

Choosing where to stayChoose for the trip you are making.

Compare the hotel’s full address with every appointment. “Near Geneva” can hide an extra border crossing or a longer return journey. If choosing a residence outside the city for space, settle transport and late access first. Ask how the host verifies anyone claiming to be your driver, colleague or maintenance contractor.

Meetings & transactionsDecide the boundaries before you meet.

For a wealth-management or trading introduction, find the institution’s contact details yourself and confirm the named person and address. Do not let discretion become a reason to avoid verification. A lounge meeting is enough for an introduction; wallets, recovery information and transfers belong in your established approval process, away from the social pressure of the meeting.

Family & longer staysMake the arrangements work for everyone.

If relatives continue to a ski resort or a home across the border, give them the destination address, driver contact and an independent way to confirm changes. Check each traveller’s documents for the actual countries involved. Tell the hotel only the details needed for their arrival; a driver does not need a family’s wider financial or travel history.
