Guangzhou

A good trade-fair plan starts with the terminal, hall and return journey.

Local incidents
01

Recheck Baiyun’s terminal on the current booking.

02

Get the exact exhibition hall or office entrance.

03

Separate supplier hospitality from financial decisions.

Arriving & getting aroundPlan the whole journey.

At Baiyun Airport, use your current flight information to confirm the terminal and pickup point. Terminal arrangements can change; do not reuse an old driver message. If a connection needs an inter-terminal journey, consult the airport’s current instructions. For a railway arrival, write the full station name rather than simply “Guangzhou.”

Choosing where to stayChoose for the trip you are making.

For a trade-fair trip, compare a base near the actual hall with one near evening appointments. Do not assume the organiser’s city name identifies a single venue. Ask the hotel how it handles conference visitors and parcels. An assistant should keep your room details off supplier group chats, shared spreadsheets and collection lists.

Meetings & transactionsDecide the boundaries before you meet.

Verify a supplier’s registered identity and the person you are visiting through independent business records or known channels. A fair badge is a starting point, not approval to go elsewhere. For a first visit, keep your own return transport; decline added cash exchanges, wallet demonstrations or “quick” deposits unrelated to the agreed commercial purpose.

Family & longer staysMake the arrangements work for everyone.

If companions visit another part of the city while you attend meetings, give them an independent day plan and payment backup. Do not ask a newly met supplier to take charge of the family’s transport. Keep a paper or offline Chinese hotel address available so a failed phone or payment app does not force everyone to wait for you.
