Choose accommodation by access, not sea views alone.

Arriving & getting aroundPlan the whole journey.

A Bangkok arrival followed by Pattaya is a separate road journey, not a city-airport transfer. Give the operator the flight, airport code and full property address. Confirm the vehicle through the original booking before boarding. Leave the first evening free of business commitments so a delay does not push you into accepting someone else's transport or venue.

Choosing where to stayChoose for the trip you are making.

Compare central Pattaya and Jomtien against the places you will actually visit. Check the building entrance, reception coverage and the final walk after dark. For a condo, find out whether a guest needs approval and who can issue another key. Do not assume a rental listing includes the building's hotel-style services.

Meetings & transactionsDecide the boundaries before you meet.

Start in a staffed public venue, before drinking or changing locations. Do not carry cash to a first meeting or follow a buyer into a car park to 'finish the deal'. Independently check a claimed Thai financial licence through the SEC. An introduction from a regular visitor is a reference, not due diligence.

Family & longer staysMake the arrangements work for everyone.

Keep a family holiday schedule separate from business and nightlife groups. On an island excursion, confirm the return arrangements with the operator and give another adult a copy. For evenings out, choose a pickup point in advance and keep a backup booking method; a dead phone should not leave anyone dependent on a new acquaintance.
