What the record says

A 21-year-old Ukrainian student was killed in Vienna in November 2025. Austrian police reported that his body was found in a burned vehicle on 26 November and that withdrawals from his crypto wallet had been detected. A later Ukrainian prosecutor account, reported by UNN, dated the initial meeting to 25 November: investigators alleged that an acquaintance helped arrange a false-pretext meeting and the victim was forced to transfer about €50,000. Two suspects were detained in Ukraine. Media reported a family link to a Kharkiv deputy mayor, but Austrian police did not publicly confirm that identity.
